Is Oreo the NY Giants of Facebook content marketing?

Get the reference? Yeah, I’m claiming Oreo might be the Super Bowl champions when it comes to content marketing on Facebook. Specifically what they do with visuals and how they pair them up with text, in some cases. Sure, there are other brands doing lots of things right when it comes to content marketing on Facebook, but I love what Oreo is doing for so many reasons.

Let me list out 8 examples–with visuals, of course:

Building community by highlighting fan ideas

 

Creative use of imagery

 

Playing off current events (in a tasteful way)

 

Taking a stance in a cause they believe in

 

Using quotes as images

 

Having fun with its own product

 

Making holidays relevant

 

Playing off major sporting events

  1. I love what Oreo does with their online presence. And come on, who doesn’t want to doodle designs into their Oreo filling…and then eat it afterward? Too much fun. Kudos to them!
